Summary
The study course Early Childhood Education M.A., which can easily be combined with your profession, is designed as a consecutive study course to the full-time and part-time study course Early Childhood Education B.A. at the FH SWF, but is also open to graduates of comparable study courses. The Master's degree in Early Childhood Education qualifies graduates for both educational work as well as management, counselling, further education or research tasks. The Master's study course in Early Childhood Education is a so-called part-time study course. Part-time courses are a study model of the state universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia that are compatible with your career and family and provide ideal and flexible support for your professional and personal development.
The course content is largely taught in the form of self-study and written study letters. Approximately 18 hours per week are usually required. A reduction of the time needed is possible by extending the course of study. About 70% of the course contents are elaborated in self-study. Furthermore, there are usually in-class lectures at the university on Saturdays every 14 days during the semester. These comprise seminars and exercise classes. Students study in small groups of about 20 participants.
