Summary
The Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering offers a broad basic training with special emphasis on practical applications. The graduates are then qualified for roles in all sectors and fields of activity in mechanical engineering.
The course is initially designed as a general mechanical engineering course, which offers a basic qualification for activities both in the field of development/design and in production. In the second part of the course students can choose their specialisation based on their personal preferences and intended careers.
The continued practice orientation of the course is of great importance for later acceptance in the company. This includes excursions, an optional work experience semester with a project and Bachelor thesis performed in close cooperation with companies. Many students participate in the cooperative model, i.e., they study in cooperation with a company. That translates to practical activity in the company and financial aid. All the professors at Meschede boast considerable experience in the industry and are happy to help you make contacts.
