Pumpkin Steamed Egg
by Yi-Chun Chi (IMIS Summer Semester 2020)
Ingredients:- 1 small pumpkin
- 4 eggs mushrooms
- chicken meat (or seafood)
- vegetables that you like
- soy sauce (or salt)
Preparation:
- 1. Wash the pumpkin, cut off the top, keep the lid and don't throw it. And then steam the pumpkin. (The pumpkin is very hard and not easy to cut. So you can also choose to steam it first and then cut it.)
- 2. Use a spoon to hollow out the seeds in the pumpkin.
- 3. Beat the egg, add a little soy sauce and mix well, then pour in the appropriate amount of water and continue to mix. The ratio of water to egg is about 1.5 to 1. Then filter the egg with a strainer to remove the tendon.
- 4. Cut mushrooms, chicken meat and vegetables into small pieces.
- 5. Put the ingredients of step 4 into the pumpkin and pour the egg liquid into the pumpkin as well.
- 6. Steam the whole pumpkin for about 30-40 minutes (it depends on the size of your pumpkin).

Hamburg Hamburger
by Michael Wegener (IMIS Summer Semester 2015)
Ingredients (for 4 burgers):
- Some lettuce 1 tomato
- Cucumber slices 1 small onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 4 brioche burger buns 450g minced beef
- Mustard
- Tomato paste
- Pepper
- 2 eggs
- A handful of breadcrumbs
- Crumbled cheese
- Smokey BBQ sauce
- Burger dressing of your choice
- Any number of beers
Preparation:
- 1. Cut the onion in half and mince one half of it. Also mince the garlic. Add both to the beef. Now add the tomato paste, mustard, eggs, and season it with the pepper and any additional spices. Mix everything while slowly adding breadcrumbs to it until you get a firm but not too hard mixture.
- 2. Divide the mixture into four pieces and use a burger press to create four patties if available. Alternatively, form balls and press it between two plates. Start warming up the burger buns at low temperature at the same time. Fry the patties at medium temperature. When turning them put the cheese on top of the finished side. When the cheese melts add some additional spices if you like. Also cut the vegetables into ready-to-eat slices.
- 3.When the patties are ready, add a layer of BBQ sauce to the bottom bun side. Add a patty next and put the burger dressing on top of it. Now add the vegetables as you like and finish the burger with the top bun.
